Prickles vs. the Dust Bunnies by Daniel Cleary

This book has a special place in my heart.  I, too, have a soft spot for dust bunnies.  After all, they're not hurting anyone, are they???

Blue Apple Book gave me an ebook of this picture book for review (thank you).  It's been published, so you can get a copy at your local bookstore.  It's a Balloon Toons book.

All the animals in this story have hair that stick out and makes them look like they're growing in their winter coats.  It also makes them funny looking. Even funnier looking are the gray shadows hanging out under the couch.  They don't want to go outside because they are afraid of everything, even grass.

Prickles is a cat, and she wants the house clean, NO dust bunnies.  Squeaky is a mouse and he tries to talk Prickles out of evicting them.  All to no available.  However, when the Big Cheese comes home and Squeaky disguises the dust bunnies as a sweater, no one is more surprised than Prickles to find the Big Cheese wants a knitted sweater just like that...

My favorite illustration is when they all stack up to be "wallpaper".  Wait until you see it!

Happy reading.
