How to Babysit a Grandpa by Jean Reagan

Here is a really cute tale of babysitting told from the child's perspective.  He's not being babysat; he's the babysitter!

Alfred A Knopf sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you).  It has been published and would be a great gift for a little one.

I found this story quite amusing and endearing.  The little boy has an established system for babysitting with Grandpa.  Things like hide and seek, eat our favorite foods, be sure to take a nap and the like.  Grandpa is perfectly happy to play along with the small one and they both really enjoy their time together.

Mr. Wildish creates fun characters with his illustrations and it's easy to get into the story and just have fun reading it.

This would be a good go-to-bed story or a fun read-aloud story.  Maybe you and your little one might act out the parts if you've a mind to.  I could use one of Grandpa's naps right about now...

Happy reading.
