You Don't Want To Know by Lisa Jackson

She can't remember what happened.  She can see bits and pieces in her mind, but she really doesn't know what those bits are telling her.  Sometimes it's safer if you just forget.

Kensington Books sent me an ARC of this book for review (thank you).  It is being published today so check with your local bookstore for a copy.

Ms. Jackson always writes a complex story full of suspense.  This one has that down pat.

Ava has inherited money, lots of money.  All her mooching relatives are living in her house.  Her husband is sleeping in a separate bedroom.  She knows her brother drowned and her son is missing.  And she knows the medication they have her on is messing with her mind.  But she has tried to commit suicide (hasn't she?) and she did end up in a mental hospital.  She's just trying to patch the pieces together and wants to find her son.  Those around her are not helping her with this.

This is a twisted tale with all that can be wrong in a family and relationships.  How it all fits together is a complex plan by many people to take over Ava's money.  Ava is trying to fight them, trying to find her correct mind.  What she finds is that the people around her are dying.  Will she be next?

This is a fast-paced interesting read with a strong-willed female character who is determined to find the truth.  Of course, others in the house are determined to either declare her insane or kill her so it's quite a journey.

Why not visit with Ava on Church island and see if you can figure out who is after her?  There are so many suspects, it's hard to tell who might be a friend or who might be an enemy.

If you'd like my copy of the this book, leave a comment here on the blog and email me at info at bookfaerie.com with your name and address and why you would like to read the book.

Happy reading.
