Claude on the Slopes by Alex T. Smith

Claude is a dog.  Not just any dog, mind you.  He's a well mannered high classed dog who wears a beret and sometimes a smoking jacket.  He discovers snow outside and enters a whole new world!

Peachtree Publishers and Net Galley allowed me to read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published October 1st, so check out some of Claude's other books to keep you busy in between.

Claude has a sock friend; it's animated.  They find out they can slide down the hill if they have a cookie to sheet to ride, so off they go!  What fun they have.  Why not go skiing and see how that works out?

Claude is just like any beginning skier.  He's not sure how to, does everything wrong, and he can't remember to keep his voice down.  That last part is what gets him in the most trouble.  He actually starts an avalanche.  Oh my goodness, now he has to save his instructor, his friend the sock, and all the people in the lodge.

My favorite part of this story is Claude's beret.  Whatever he might need, he can pull it out of his beret and have it in hand immediately.  Don't you wish we had a magic beret, too?

I'd suggest you go play in the snow with Claude.  You'll get to have good fun and stay in the house nice and warm.

Happy reading.
