The Best of Enemies by Jen Lancaster

Three girls from college have been besties for a long time.  Sarabeth is the glue that keeps Jack (tomboy) and Kitty hanging with her.  They'd do anything for her, even though they are all from different walks of life.  They'll have time to prove that before the end of this book.

Penguin sent me a copy of this book to review (thank you).  It was published August 4th, so you can grab a copy now.

This is chick lit and has a lot of drama in it.  As is usual there are a lot of misunderstandings, manipulations, and even lies being spread around.

Jack has become a journalist that has been imbedded in the war zone.  Kitty married a dentist and has three children.  Sarabeth married her college sweetheart and is living happily after in a well-monied life.  Jack and Kitty fight every time they see each other.  In many ways, they have similarities even if their life styles are different and that's what grinds.  They try to set those aside so they can be with Sarabeth and support her when her husband dies in a plane crash.  That's almost working but it's hard.

It gets harder when Jack and her brothers decide the husband might not have been killed in that plane crash.  After all, the big company he owned is being investigated and money is missing.  Does he have the money?  Jack and Kitty decide to investigate.  This is where the story really gets interesting.

The more they dig and the more they learn gets them deeper in trouble.  Sarabeth is not what she seems and she's definitely not their friend...
