Missy Piggle-Wiggle and the Whatever Cure by Ann M. Martin, Annie Parnell

Do you have a child with an annoying habit?  Have you ever wished you had a pill or a potion that would make them better?  Best call on Missy Piggle-Wiggle.  She has solutions for every problem.  They may not be conventional but they work!

Feiwel & Friends and Net Galley let me read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published September 6th.

This is a wonderful story full of silly, fun cures for things like "I know how to do it better" and "whatever" and too much gum chewing.

Missy comes to stay in the upside down house her aunt lives in.  Her aunt is out trying to find her pirate husband to bring him home so she needed a house sitter.  She didn't mention that all the children in the neighborhood hang around her house.  Missy quickly fills in.  It helps that besides potions she can make some things magically appear, like paper for drawing.

Missy's first challenge is to make the house behave.  It wouldn't open the door for her.  It makes the stair steps to the second floor grow large or small until Missy puts her foot and tells the house to behave.  Before the end of the story, Missy and the house are friends again.

My favorite part of this story was that after "fixing" the children of one wildly out of control home, Missy has one more "fix" to do.  The parents need fixing too.  How she handles that is well done.

All in all, this is marvelous story with lots of fun things in it.  It was a joy to read.  Why not see if your family feels the same way?
